WORLD ROWING MASTERS REGATTA CLUB TROPHY

Lake Velence is located in the heart of Hungary, 50 km from Budapest, 36 km from Lake Balaton, in a wonderful natural surroundings, and it is easily accessible.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Lake Valence is the second largest natural lake in Hungary. The lake has an area of 26 km², one third of which is covered by the common reed. The effect of sunshine, and because of the lake is shallow (the average depth is 1.5 m) this is one of the warmest lakes in Europe.

Lake Velence hosted the Masters Rowing World Championship in 1996 with a great pride. The multifunctional Water Sport Center has the 2350 m long, 150 m wide and 3,4 m water depth rowing course,  with the finish-tower and many additional service, which is suitable for hold a high-level rowing championship.
