University Rowing

Melbourne University Boat Club was established in 1859 and is part of the rich sporting heritage and cultural landscape of the University of Melbourne.

If you are an established rower looking to continue your sport our University Rowing program is a great place to start. The University Rowing program provides student-athletes with an opportunity to row that is cohesive with the demands of full-time study. It is also a great way to make new friends and enjoy being part of a team. 

 

How do I become involved?

To register your interest for Semester Two please complete the University Rowing program application form and our program co-ordinator will contact you. Places are limited. 

What is the cost?

University Rowing program membership costs $240 per semester of rowing. 

University Rowing Membership

Member benefits on Return to Boathouse:

  • Supervised twice weekly on-water training sessions during semester.
  • Registration with Melbourne University Sport Elite Athlete Program
  • Access to Boathouse via swipe card ($20 deposit refundable on return)
  • Use of Change facilities, kitchenette, student lounge and study room
  • Full use of gym equipment, ergo and watt bikes
  • Out of session access to allocated boats via Boat Booking system.
  • Opportunity to compete at Head of the Yarra. 
  • Opportunity to progress your rowing and move into advanced MUBC squads – Club, Youth Development and High Performance.
  • Social events
