MUBC Annual General Meeting

Melbourne University Boat Club conducted its Annual General Meeting last evening via zoom. The meeting was well attended with approximately fifty people registering.

Important business of the AGM included elections for the executive position of Secretary vacated by the retirement of Greg Longden after approximately seven years in the role. President Christian Ryan recognised Greg in his report and publicly again last evening for his tremendous contribution to the club. MUBC congratulates Harrison Miller on his election from the floor as Club Secretary and we look forward to his contribution at Committee.

The executive position of Treasurer was vacated by Chris Hargreaves and MUBC welcomes back Alumni Angus Tyers. Gus, "Thank-you" for nominating and the Committee looks forward to welcoming you at our next meeting. A big thank-you to Chris for his contribution as Treasurer for the last two years.

Additionally an open position for General Committee was filled by last year's Club Captain Liv Honore. Thank-you Liv for your great work over 2019-20 and we are delighted you are staying on Committee. 

The third position to be filled was for Club Captain. This year we were delighted to recieve three strong nominations for this position - Eliza Gaffney, Milla Marston and Nick Smith. MUBC congratulates Nick Smith on his election and look forward to his contribution to building a better MUBC for all members.
