MUBC Season Launch for 2018/19

On Thursday 31st May, Melbourne University Boat Club launched their season for 2018/19. Thank you to all those that could make it. It was an enjoyable evening as Gary Butcher, Captain outlined the vision statement for MUBC moving forward. 

MUBC is committed to being one of the finest rowing organisations in the world, that enriches and transforms its members’ lives.

Gary introduced the coaching team and staff for the season ahead. 

Jen Matthies, Operations Manager introduced the Handbook and a code of conduct. The code of conduct is to be signed by all rowers and coaches. Jen highlighted a few key aspects from the handbook including membership fees, boat loading, uniform requirements, and sportsnoticeboard for boat bookings. 

Franz Imfeld, High Performance Manager talked about the standards and expectations for all the squads, the key events that we are targeting, the Key Performance Indicators for each squad, Facilities use matrix and squad management for the season ahead. 

Franz showed everyone what a training program and weights program looks like

Finally Jen highlighted the social events coming up including the Fundraiser for the Henley crews and Under 21 rowers on Saturday 2nd June. Every Tuesday night is Club Dinners from 6:30pm, For more information about any events coming up at the club view the events calendar.
